To celebrate the gift of giving thanks and the year passed, we brought our beautiful Esprit muses back together for a festive day’s revelry. We’ve already seen their inspirational lives and distinctive perspective of effortless style through the colder months. Now we prepared our ladies for the festive party season, adorning them in the very best, most chic Esprit pieces for this fantastic time of year. As they came together, they gave thanks to the people and inspirations that have made 2014 simply everyday amazing.
"I’ve had quite a year… there’s been so much going on and my new book on healthy eating is about to be published, which is so exciting! I couldn’t have done it without Annie. She is there for me 100 per cent, sharing in the highs and lows, and being so calm and at ease all the time. Thank you Annie, for being such an amazing support to me this year."
Through The Bread Exchange, Malin Elmlid has opened people's eyes to the notion of sharing, where money is not the reason of an exchange. "The concept of sharing has had a deep, lasting effect on me," says Malin. "Truly seeing the good intentions from my exchanges fills me with deep gratitude."
Seeing her family inspired is something that Christina Dean, sustainable fashion advocate and founder of Redress, has been/ is grateful for this year. “I love experiencing the world and doing this with my children makes it even more exciting,” she says. “My family loves intrepid and varied travels and seeing the delight on my son Jaspar’s face as we visit far-flung places and remote people accentuates the joys of our adventures.”
Singer and songwriter Anna F is a passionate, creative person. She owes much of her creative success this year to her sister Katharina. “I always try and be spontaneous in my work, looking for creativity and inspiration everywhere. I always find myself being drawn back to my sister, Katharina,” says Anna. “Her generosity, her spirit, I mean she’s just so uplifting as a person, a loved one. I want to thank her for inspiring me to succeed and to always push my creativity further!"
“I owe so much to my husband le Franc,” says Nada Lottermann, an accomplished photographer and stylist. “We live a happy, fulfilled life, and I think the fact that he just makes me smile so much, with his silly jokes and warm, caring nature, adds that cherry on top! Thank you le Franc for how happy you make me feel!"
“How could I thank anyone else but my family?” asks Nela König, photographer, yoga teacher and mother of two beautiful children. “It’s been an epic year for us, all topped off with the arrival of Leelou; what a journey! My husband Thorsten, my son Taro and now Leelou, all together for the holiday season. They all make my world - and this thank you is absolutely, completely dedicated to them."
When it comes to the festive season, Gesa Hansen, furniture designer, art director and mother, makes sure family comes first. “Despite me living in Paris and my mother, Brigitte, living in Germany, we make sure we see each other,” she says. “And it presents me with an amazing opportunity to thank my mum for all she has done for me. I’ve grown as a woman thanks to her advice, wisdom and understanding. Thanks mum for being so brilliant!”
