Esprit publishes Sustainability Report 2017/18

Esprit published its fourth Sustainability Report, this time with a strong focus on circular fashion. Circular fashion is about the entire product life cycle and where we strive to reuse and recycle – waste is no longer an option.

In our Sustainability Report we explain how we have applied the philosophy of circular fashion to all levels of the company’s business operations. We are re-examining the way we approach design, material selection, manufacturing, and distribution. Therefore we have defined concrete goals for the use of sustainable materials, elimination of hazardous chemicals, and design for circularity. The targets can be found in the report.

Furthermore, we once again incorporate the UN Sustainable Development Goals in our sustainability strategy which concerns the whole organization.

“I am proud to share our progress, as we work toward a fashion system that is built around respect for human beings and care for our environment. Applying a circular lens to our activities requires us to rethink many of our assumptions and expectations – which is why it has the potential to transform the way we think about fashion. We firmly believe this is the right direction, and have applied this philosophy to all levels of our business operations. We are convinced that we will transform our business and continue to demonstrate leadership in the fashion industry”, said Anders Kristiansen, Group CEO of Esprit.
