Margaux's Paris Hot Spots

Margaux’s hot spots in Paris

Le Saint-Martin Canal
This place can be so fabulous in summer. The Parisians meet up to have a drink for "l'apéro", or have a picnic as soon as the sun sets. The light is stunning, with the reflection of the restaurants and cafes on the canal. A mixture of laughter, music and even the odd row. An exceptional place in the centre of Paris.

Pretty Box | 46, rue de Saintonge »
A shop located in one of the prettiest streets of the Marais: Rue Saint-Onge. You can tell each garment has been chosen with care and taste.

Café Charlot | 38, Rue de Bretagne »
One of my favorite cafes. This is where I meet my friends for the aperitif or even dinner. The Sunday brunch is exquisite. In summer, the Charlot is sunny all day long.

Le Marché des enfants rouges | 39, Rue de Bretagne
One of my favourite places to buy all sorts of organic vegetables. This place also has top quality mini gourmet stalls: Japanese, Italian, Creole, Lebanese... A small hidden little world in the heart of the Marais.

Le Café A | 148, rue du Faubourg Saint-Martin »
A place nestled in a former convent. In the garden with large trees, my friends and I meet around a large table or lounge on the sunbeds, lazing away afternoon in the sun. I like this place for its calm and its beauty. The food for nibbling, lunch or even dinner is delicious. On Fridays and Saturdays, they have DJs coming to play!

Wanderlust | 32 quai d’Austerlitz »
This is the new place where all the Parisians meet up. It has very strong concept that has never been seen in Paris, with creative workshops day and night and evenings with an incredible DJ set (Pedro Winter, Brodinski, Breakbot...) playing until dawn. There's an incredible energy, people hang loose, I stay with my friends at the terrace bar to remake the world until we watch a fantastic sunrise in the early hours of the morning. Something completely new for Paris.

The Buren columns | Palais Royal
I used to love coming here to play: running, jumping, climbing. Aesthetically, it is a place that could be mistaken for a checkers game.

Kiliwatch | 64, Rue Tiquetonne »
A shop with the best vintage clothes in Paris. What I like: Lumberjack shirts, Perfecto motorcycle jackets, rock music T-shirts from the 70s, boots, Derby shoes. But also flowered dresses, hats, knit sweaters. The place is huge. Every time I go there, I find the garment that will make the difference.

Le Mansart | 1, Rue Mansart
This is the bar everybody talks about, close to the Pigalle district. The trendy young Parisians have lunch there, have an aperitif or dinner, or they spend the entire evening there. The music is very well chosen, and the waiters are damn cute. All in all, a hype bar with a relaxed crowd. Just in front there is "The Carmen" club. Therefore, after the Mansart opening time, the night is not over.

The funfair of the Tuileries |  113, rue de Rivoli
Open only in the summer time. It has the Ferris wheel overlooking the whole city and a thrill ride located in the most beautiful garden of Paris.
