Education for every child
The SOS Hermann Gmeiner Schools provide educational facilities to the children of the SOS Children’s Villages as well as from the neighbouring areas.
Apart from imparting academic education, the Hermann Gmeiner Schools offer diversified exposure to the students in order to bring them up to a level of intelligent living with a flair for awareness.
SOS Hermann Gmeiner Primary School Anangpur has been set-up with the objective of making formal primary education accessible to children in poorer communities. It is open for 350 boys and girls. The school holds regular meetings with the parents to inform them on the progress of their children as well as to motivate them to participate proactively in their educational development.
Besides a computer lab there are also extra classes for children with learning difficulties. Teachers and students regularly visit the community to build awareness on personal hygiene, healthy environment and education. The response from the village community is very positive. Parents are much better aware of the importance of education and are extending their cooperation eagerly.
The SOS Hermann Gmeiner School in Faridabad offers classes up to A level. Currently the School has a total strength of 844 students from pre-school to class XII. 43 classrooms, workshops, laboratories, canteen and sports field offer excellent academic education for girls and boys.
